Houssem Aouar has been attracting increasing transfer attention since his good performance in the Champions League against Manchester City at the end of November.

Pep Guardiola praised the player publicly after the match, and his City assistant Mikel Arteta was seen talking to Aouar and taking notes.

Shortly after that, claims emerged in France of contact already having been made from the Premier League champions about a potential transfer in the future.

In their edition this week, France Football take a look at interest in the 20 year old midfielder, and say Arsenal are ‘particularly’ keen.

Unai Emery is said to appreciate the versatility of the youngster, and it’s believed he could be a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who is expected to leave Arsenal when his contract expires in the summer.

Whether or not the Gunners qualify for the Champions League is thought to be a factor in them making a move, which would be at the end of the season, and it’s stated a deal for the player ‘could exceed €40m’.
