Billy Sharp has revealed it was a dream getting his move from Leeds United to Sheffield United in 2015. The forward spent a season at Leeds United before joining his hometown club.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Sharp was asked what it was like playing for Sheffield United, following his move from Leeds in 2015. The 31-year-old said to be now turning out for Sheffield United is a dream for him after supporting the club when he was a youngster. Sharp said his family support the Division One side, which also makes it special.

“It’s a dream come true for me – I’ve been supporting Sheffield United for as long as I can remember. Before me, my dad used to hitch-hike all over the country to watch Sheffield United,” said the forward.

Sharp joined Leeds from Southampton in 2014, but unlike at most of his clubs he found goals to come by with the Elland Road side. Subsequently the forward left Leeds United for Sheffield United, where his rediscovered his scoring touch.

Since returning to Bramall Lane, Sharp has found the net 47 times in 85 league appearances.
