Molde forward Erling Braut Haaland has told the Norwegian media he has ambitions to play for Leeds United. The Norway youth international is the son of former Leeds United star Alf-Inge Haaland.
Speaking to Aftenposten, Braut Haaland was asked about his future plans after recently signing for Molde on a three-year deal.
The 16-year-old said he hopes to become the best player he can, but his ultimate dream is play for Leeds United and win the Premier League with then. Braut, like his father hopes he can go on to play for the Norway senior team, and become more of a success than the former Leeds United midfielder.
“I want to be the best possible. The dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds. In addition, the goal is to become a better player than my dad was. I hope to get more caps than he did,” said the youngster.
Braut Haaland made his senior debut at was just 15 years old when he played for Norwegian side Bryne last year. The young forward has been tracked by other clubs in Europe, including Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, who he’s trained with.
His father spent ten years in England, which included three seasons with Leeds United.
