Either Hoffenheim’s Edu Vargas or Everton’s Oumar Niasse will be the new Galatasaray striker, reveal Fotomaç.
Kolbeinn Sightorsson, Galatasaray’s summer signing from Nantes, looks set for a return to the French club after just 6 months. The Icelandic forward has failed to play a single minute for Galatasaray, and with former Arsenal star Lukas Podolski the subject of Chinese interest, Galatasaray are in the hunt for a new striker.
Galatasaray look set to accept a €6.5m offer from Beijing Gouan for the former German international. The revenue from the sale of Podolski will allow the Turkish giants to sign a striker in the January transfer window with Everton outcast Niasse being linked again with the club.
It’s understood Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor are also interested in Niasse as the Senegalese forward edges closer to a return to Turkey following a disastrous 12 months at Goodison Park. Fotomaç also say Galatasaray are chasing other surprise targets, but they haven’t given any player names to support their claims.
It’s almost certain Niasse will leave Everton, but the question is which club will he join in the new year.
