Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of signing the Dutch winger Ola John on a loan deal.

According to the Portuguese media, the 24-year-old is expected to be in England today and he’ll have his medical and sign for the Championship side.

A Bola claim that before being loaned, Ola John signed a contract extension with Benfica which ties him to the club until 2022. His old deal would eave expired in 2018, so it gives Benfica more power long-term.

The player spent last season on loan at Reading, where he scored four goals and made five assists in 33 appearances.

Lots of Benfica players have been linked to the Wolves in the past few weeks, and despite the strong claims, some of them never sign, so it’s better to wait and see for this one as well.
