Mauricio Pochettino must be used to praise from the media and other managers by now. The Tottenham boss has found himself repeatedly at the centre of gushing words, and has therefore been linked with potentially moving on to one of the world’s biggest clubs one day.

Very happy at Tottenham right now, Pochettino has the dual pleasure of being hyped by the media, and also by his fellow managers, both in the Premier League and beyond.

A former Premier League colleague, Francesco Guidolin has been asked by Guerin Sportivo magazine in Italy which side impressed him most during his time with Swansea City.

Without deliberation, or picking several impressive teams, Guidolin got straight to the point: “Pochettino’s Tottenham, physicality and quality at the highest level.”

Like many managers who have been used to other football and then experienced the Premier League, Guidolin was struck and impressed by the intensity of the games and also the physical demands on players. He feels Pochettino has combined both technical and physical expertise, and that makes him the most impressive.
