Former Manchester United winger Thiago Bebé isn’t really keen to talk about his past at the English club.
Having signed from Vitória de Guimarães in 2010, the player spent four years as a Manchester United player, having loan spells at Besiktas, Rio Ave and Paços Ferreira during this time.
He was sold to Benfica in 2014, where he was also loaned to Córdoba and Rayo Vallecano, before finally moving permanently to Eibar last summer.
With three goals and two assists this season, he’s having a decent time in the Spanish league, and gave an interview to Record after scoring against Leganés in the last fixture.
Asked about his time at Benfica and Manchester United, the player claimed that these clubs “are already part of the past”, adding: “I keep a bit of each club where I’ve been because all the learning made me stronger. The present is at Eibar and I hope I can improve my numbers at the club.”
Despiting signing for a fee of £7.5m, Bebe made only seven appearances for Manchester United, having scored two goals. He’s still 26 years old, so he’s plenty of time to find a solid career still.
