Former Manchester United forward Henrik Larsson has told the Dutch press Feyenoord have a good chance of getting a result at Old Trafford on Thursday night. The two sides clash in the Europa League, in a game which a must win for Jose Mourinho’s team.
AD.nl have reported on comments Larsson made in the lead up to the game when asked if Feyenoord could beat Manchester United. Larsson said the Dutch giants have a decent team, and therefore stand a good chance getting a victory at Old Trafford.
The former Sweden international believes Mourinho is at the moment struggling to get the best of his team, but still realises it will be a tough task for Feyenoord in Manchester.
“Feyenoord has a good team while Jose Mourinho does not quite seem to know how he wants his football team to play and the team is not in the best shape. On the other hand, I know from personal experience that almost no opponent is at ease when they have to play at Old Trafford. It will be more difficult for Feyenoord than at home at De Kuip,” said the former Manchester United and Feyenoord striker.
Following the defeat to Fenerbahce two weeks ago, Manchester United know if they win their last two games they’ll still progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League. Despite their poor away form in the competition, the Premier League side have won both of their home matches, and will be confident of getting a win.
