Stevan Jovetic arrived at Inter Milan at the start of the season on a loan, but the Serie A club have a mandatory purchase option for €14.5m.
The 26-year-old started the season brightly, but has failed to make an impact since then. Latest reports suggest Inter are ready to ship him out this summer, and he could be heading back to England.
According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are interested in signing the Inter forward, and the player would also prefer a return to the Premier League.
Russian side Spartak Moscow have also shown interest, and have already contacted Jovetic’s representatives with further talks planned.
CDS say Jovetic is no longer in the plans of Roberto Mancini, and the duo don’t enjoy a good relationship either.
Jovetic had injury problems at Manchester City, but that’s hasn’t been his main problem at Inter.
Arsenal’s interest in the former Manchester City star is a little surprising, and there doesn’t seem to be anything concrete in this yet.
Jovetic was repeatedly linked to Arsenal earlier in his career and this could be a hangover from then.
