Ajansspor report Fenerbahce are considering appointing Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Zeljko Buvac as their next manager.

The Turkish giants are set to appoint former Liverpool man Damien Comolli as their new sporting director and Ajansspor say the Frenchman is considering bringing in Buvac.

Recently appointed Fenerbahce president Ali Y. Koc  has previously stated he wants to bring in a foreign manager, and Buvac is an option.

The 56 year old took a break from Liverpool before the end of the season, with the Premier League club batting away suggestions he’s left.

Buvac and Klopp have worked with each other since 2001 and achieved great success at Borussia Dortmund before the pair move to Liverpool.

The Bosnian was previously linked with a move to Arsenal before the Gunners appointed Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger’s replacement.

Luis Enrique and Laurent Blanc are two other managers being considered by the Turkish giants, and Buvac would likely be cheaper and more realistic.
