Three days into the transfer window and the rumour mill has already begun to churn at a furious pace.

Everton have found themselves firmly in the mix, with many anticipating the Blues to be extremely busy in this window.

Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival at the club means that they now find themselves linked to players all across Italy and the latest to join the list is Ragnar Klavan.

Yes, the same Ragnar Klavan that played for Liverpool.

According to BlogCalgliariCalcio.net, the Cagliari centre back has ‘ended up in the crosshairs’ of Everton, with Ancelotti specifically requesting a move for the defender.

The website reports that since arriving at the club, Ancelotti has asked Everton to monitor the defender, who left Liverpool in 2018, and ‘probe the possibility’ of signing him in January.

At the moment, Everton are yet to make a formal offer for the Estonian defender, although he has been made aware of the interest from Merseyside by his entourage.

As a result, his position should be ‘followed with great attention’, particularly as Cagliari are looking to add a centre back to their squad in this window too.
