Former Leeds United star Harry Kewell has selected Mark Viduka in in his all time best eleven. The Australian played alongside Viduka for Leeds United during a successful period for the Elland Road club.

Asked to name his perfect eleven by FourFourTwo, Kewell selected Viduka to be the centre forward in his team. The former Leeds attacker believes Viduka led the line well, and had many qualities as a forward.

Kewell thinks the former Leeds United forward could bring other players into the game by holding the ball up, and also showed this whilst playing with him for Australia.

“He could occupy both the centre-halves, he was great with his feet, and he was great in the air. I played with him for Leeds United and Australia and you could run off him,” said Kewell of his former teammate.

Viduka spent nine seasons playing in England for Leeds United, Newcastle United and also Middlesbrough. The forward made nearly 250 league appearances during his time with the three clubs, scoring 92 goals.

Kewell selected two forwards from his time in Turkey with Galatasaray to accompany Viduka in the forward line. The 38-year-old picked Barcelona star Arda Turan to play on the left side of the attack, whilst former Turkey international Hasan Sas also made the cut.
