Nottingham Forest have had a very difficult start to the campaign, with just 15 points from 14 games, under Philippe Montanier, who was appointed as the manager in the summer.

However, the Frenchman could be soon packing his bags, as reports suggest he could be sacked if performances don’t improve.

According to Italian website Gazzamercato, Nottingham Forest have already started to meet his possible replacements.

It’s reported Nottingham Forest have already met former Chelsea players Gianfranco Zola and Pierluigi Casiraghi.

Zola confirmed his availability in the meeting, and that he would team up with Casiraghi.

Gazzamercato say Zola has already rejected offers from Saudi Arabia, Dubai and China, and Italy because he is keen on returning to England.

Zola has previously managed Watford and West Ham in England, but it remains to be seen if there are any truth in these reports.

There are similar reports in the English media, and Calciomercato might have picked it up from there.
