Stoke City star Marc Muniesa is currently enjoying the off season holidays, as he prepares to return for pre-season training.
The 24-year-old has been speaking to Spanish website Diari de Girona, ahead of his fourth season in the Premier League.
The coming season promises to be more exciting than ever with some of the biggest managers and players arriving in England, and Muniesa was asked what could be different this time around.
“Of course. Great coaches are coming, like Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Last year Jürgen Klopp came and Mauricio Pochettino is also making a big name in the league.
“I’m sure they’ll make their teams play great football in the Premier League. Especially because in England, football is a little confused and there isn’t such tactics as there can be in Spain or Germany. With such coaches coming, I’m convinced that the league will end up taking a quantum leap.”
The former Barcelona player has been a bit unfortunate with injuries over the past season, and is now eager to start the new campaign.
He added: “The truth is that I really wanted the season to start. But it is also true that it is a bit difficult to go. Why leave behind the good weather, good food and friends.
“I’m eager to start the new season and see me if things go well. I hope, yes. It is a new challenge and I am convinced that this year will be good individually but also collectively.”
Muniesa managed just 15 league appearances last season, and will be hoping to make a bigger impact this season.
