Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino is continuing to be linked with a move to England in the Italian media, after recent reports Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Uruguay international.
Calciomercato have reported on Vecino’s future at Fiorentina after reports Tottenham and Napoli are keen on the central midfielder.
It’s been claimed the Serie A side don’t want to sell Vecino this summer, and the player himself would be happy to remain in Florence.
However, with a €24m buyout clause, Calciomercato say this has resulted in English sides lurking around Vecino, with the potential a Premier League club could come in for the player before that clause expires next month.
Last month we covered reports from Italy that Tottenham could look to sign Vecino this summer, and they are hoping a proposal of €18m will be enough to convince Fiorentina to sell.
With Eric Dier linked with a move to Manchester United, the South American is seen as an ideal like for like replacement for the England international, but it seems from these latest reports Tottenham would have to offer more than €18m.
