Following the departure of Nigel de Jong, Galatasaray are looking for a replacement to partner club captain Selcuk Inan in midfield.

Fanatik report Stoke City’s Gianelli Imbula is one of the players being targeted by Galatasaray, and the Turkish club have already met with his agent ahead of a possible move.

The Turkish newspaper say the main problem is that Stoke City want to sell the player permanently, but the Premier League side value him at around €15m. Such a figure is unlikely to be met by Galatasaray, so the Turkish club would insist on a loan move.

Imbula is reportedly keen to play for Galatasaray, but the Turkish side must convince Stoke City on a loan deal.

The midfielder joined Stoke City from Porto for €24m but he’s been unable to prove his worth to Mark Hughes. Due to his lack of games last season a move to Galatasaray this summer could help kickstart Imbula’s career.
