Hurriyet report Galatasaray are looking to give reported Manchester United target Ozan Kabak a new contract amid speculation the 18-year old could sign for the Premier League club.

The Galatasaray academy product has reportedly caught the eye of the Old Trafford club with a claim last week the Red Devil’s held transfer talks with the Istanbul side. Local rivals Manchester City have also been linked with the player.

However, Hurriyet say Galatasaray are ready to strengthen their hand by offering improved terms to Kabak. There have been recent claims they want to tie him down on a long term deal.

The central defender’s current contract with Galatasaray will expire at the end of next season but Hurriyet report Turkish giants are ready to offer him an improved contract which will take him up to 2023.

Considering their financial situation and FFP issues it doesn’t mean Galatasaray are not looking to sell Kabak. Instead, it seems the Turkish club are hoping their position will be stronger if the likes of Manchester United or Manchester City make an offer.
