Inter Milan are getting themselves ready for Milan Skriniar leaving them in the next summer window, or even before then.
PSG were strongly linked in the summer and reportedly made several attempts to secure the central defender. Inter were asking for too much as far as the French club were concerned and that saw any chance of a deal slip away.
However, that doesn’t mean their interest has died, something which Calciomercato make clear. Inter had been looking at Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah as a potential replacement, and have now turned their attention to Manchester City’s Nathan Ake.
This isn’t the first time the Serie A club have been linked with Ake, who they are ‘following with interest’, and it’s quite possible their hopes will fade when they learn of a potential Manchester City valuation.
Ake has a contract lasting until June 2025, whilst Chalobah is linked to Chelsea until 2026, so the likelihood is Inter would initially try for a loan move with a purchase option.
That tends to be the way when Serie A clubs try to recruit from the Premier League.
