There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are looking to move in on Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.

The youngster spent last season on loan with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin but in recent months he’s been linked with a move to Gala, almost exclusively by the Turkish media.

Transfermakt.tr have today reported on the latest developments with regards to Galatasaray’s pursuit of Grujic and they say the ‘first talks’ with Liverpool have taken place, as the Super Lig side look to bring in the 22 year old.

It’s claimed Bundesliga sides Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen are also interested, along with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

In March we covered the initial reports from Turkey that Galatasaray were interested in signing the Serbian international, and that their manager Faith Terim had given his approval to bring in the Liverpool man.

Galatasaray have reportedly been scouting Grujic for the past three years and his performances in the Bundesliga this season are seen as a positive for the Istanbul club side.

Those good performances are also a negative, with enough interest in Germany to surely keep him there over a move to Turkey.

The youngster is contracted to Liverpool until June 2023.
