Newcastle United have been linked with Fiorentina’s Moise Kean in the past few weeks and are now reportedly looking to accelerate their move for the striker, as they edge ahead of Tottenham and Arsenal.

The Italian is arguably having the best individual season of his entire career, having found the back of the net 17 times in Serie A.

His form is attracting attention and so is his release clause of €52m, as Newcastle United are continually linked.

Calciomercato have reported today that Fiorentina are likely to evaluate any offers that come their way in the summer. Despite that, they will also try to work on a new deal for the striker and would ideally want to remove his €52m release clause.

The report states that even though Kean’s future will largely depend on his own desire, it is Newcastle United who have made ‘first direct contact’ with his entourage, whilst Arenal and Tottenham sit further back.

There is a hint that the ex-Everton man could be tempted by a return to England, even if he is also liked by Barcelona and Napoli.

Newcastle United would surely condition any move on Alexander Isak’s future.
