Arsenal tried to sign Manuel Locatelli before he joined Juventus from Sassuolo in 2021 and this was confirmed by his brother last month.
The Old Lady took the midfielder on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy in 2023.
Arsenal haven’t forgotten about the 25-year-old, according a report from Italy.
Tutto Juve state the Gunners would be interested in securing Locatelli’s services in the next window and Mikel Arteta’s side would be willing to offer Kieran Tierney as part of the deal.
The left-back has lost prominence at the north London club after Oleksandr Zinchenko’s arrival last summer. TJ add Juve are not interested in this potential swap deal involving the Italy international and Tierney.
Meanwhile, Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has a different take on the defender. He claims the Turin club have shown interest in the Scotland international and ‘first contact’ between the two parties took place in 2019.
Juve want to better understand the off-field issues before considering an approach for Tierney in the summer.
Galetti’s claim may give Arsenal hope in using their own player to try to sign Locatelli.
