After reports in the past few days saying Cenk Tosun’s transfer to Everton is practically done, Turkish newspaper Sabah today report the deal is near completion.

According to Sabah, the only remaining problem is Besiktas want €25m in one go, and a potential sell-on fee.

The Turkish newspaper say the Besiktas board have informed Everton: “We are not asking anything extraordinary from you. Anyone who scored these goals and shows good performances while playing in Spain or Italy, the price will be €50-60m. We only want you to insert a small percentage of sell on clause and realistic contract bonuses.”

Sabah say this is only a minor issue because Beskistas and Everton want to complete a deal as soon as possible, and it’s only a matter of time before Tosun arrives at Goodison Park.

It’s also claimed Besiktas president Fikret Orman, who’s on holiday at South Africa, has called Tosun and wished him good luck on his move to England.

Sabah claim both sides will meet again to conclude the deal, and Tosun’s agent and father Senol Tosun has thanked Besiktas: “Thank you for your contribution to my son’s career. We’ll forever stay as a Besiktas fans, and wish you good luck for the rest of the season.”

Sabah report Tosun will earn £3.5m per season after tax with Everton, and will sign a 4.5 year contract with the Merseyside club.
