It’s over, the wait is finally over for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Clinton N’Jié, Marseille fans, Tottenham fans… Everyone!
At least, that’s what L’Equipe are reporting late on Friday evening.
The French newspaper have an article on their website claiming this is now ‘the end of a saga that will have lasted a month’.
It’s true. Towards mid-July, the Marseille winger was sent to London to have a medical ahead of a proposed move to Spurs, which he passed, and since he’s just been waiting.
Clinton N’Jié was close to going the other way on loan with a view to buy, but things got messy, no-one really knowing why, and huge delays ensued.
L’Equipe say this will be done now that Marseille and Tottenham have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ for N’Koudou, and the 21-year-old will sign a five-year contract, having already passed his medical.
As for N’Jié, it’s as expected: a loan with a view to buy.
