It appears that Marcos Alonso will finally leave Chelsea, with Barcelona his next destination.
This is according to Radio Marca, relayed by Sport, who report the two sides have entered ‘the final negotiation’ to get a deal over the line, finally giving the Spaniard the exit he’s been seeking.
It’s believed the agreement with the player is ‘total’ and the way out ‘is already being sought for the next few days’, with contacts between Barcelona and Chelsea to take place ‘today’ in order ‘to finish defining his departure’.
This is so that they can ‘find a solution for the transfer’ because the La Liga side ‘want to pay less than €10m’.
Down the player’s end, he would sign a three-year contract and ‘hopes not to have to rejoin Chelsea next week’.
He is said to be the left-back Xavi wants at the Barcelona, and already has ‘Tuchel’s OK to leave’, with Chelsea already having a replacement for him.
Therefore ‘it’s most likely he will not have to do the preseason’ with the Blues.
