As Aston Villa finalise the transfer of Pau Torres, there have been rumours that Unai Emery is also keen on his namesake, Ferran Torres.
The winger, who currently plays for Barcelona after a stint at Manchester City, has been linked with a move to Villa Park in a loan with a €25m option to buy, although nothing concrete has happened just yet.
The forward is currently on holiday, but made an appearance in front of the media on Friday as he opened a campus in his native town of Foios.
The Aston Villa target was, amid questions about the project, also asked about his future in Spain, and more precisely at Barcelona.
Relayed by Mundo Deportivo, he said: “Today, I am at Barça, but football takes many turns. I have the phone on airplane mode, on July 10th, I will open it.”
Therefore, should there be anything transfer related he needs to know about, he is currently unaware, and will find out in the next couple of weeks.
Regardless of whether Aston Villa will make a move or not, the player has one goal in mind, and that’s to attack pre-season ‘like a bull’, wanting to impress as much as possible.
