Watford defender Daryl Janmaat has told the Dutch media he’s feeling comfortable at the club.
The Netherlands international signed for the Premier League club in 2016 from Newcastle United.
Speaking to Voetbal Intentional Janmaat was asked about playing under the Pozzo family at Watford: “They immediately gave me a good feeling. Newcastle United is of course a much bigger club in terms of name, stadium and fanbase, but we were relegated. Watford does things in a different way.
“The approach is very family orientated, the stadium is filled every week with about 25 thousand people, many families with children. Watford is a club where you feel at home very quickly.”
Janmaat has been a regular for Watford since joining the club two seasons ago and has featured in the Hornet’s opening three Premier League games.
Watofrd have made a stunning start to the season with three wins on the trot and they’ll be looking to continue this today when they face Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road.
They currently lie 5th in the table and could move into the top four if they can get a win over undefeated Tottenham.
