On Friday, we induced a collective headache at Sport Witness by following the trail of this week’s Suso to Liverpool rumours.
What had started off as more or less nothing had then taken a tour of Europe and turned into: Liverpool ‘planning to meet AC Milan £40million release clause to trigger shock return for Suso’
Just because we’ve clearly explained how the entire mess unfolded doesn’t mean the rumours will stop and they’ve been picked up in Spanish newspapers on Saturday.
They’ve also been picked up by Don Balon who have somehow related it to their obsession with supposed Real Madrid interest in Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool are thought to be out in front and Madrid, who had been keen because of the player’s €40m buyout clause (some in England report it as £40m, that’s wrong), would now face that difficulty.
Whilst we can all get behind Klopp giving Perez a bloody nose over Salah, this all seems another example of Don Balon’s impressive imagination.
