On New Year’s Eve, Bild stated Marcus Thuram wants to join one of Manchester United, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain.

The Borussia Mönchengladbach star has six months left on his deal and La Repubblica discuss the Serie A side, Bayern and Manchester United interest in the 25-year-old.

The opportunity to take the striker for free next summer is too tempting for Inter and they have been in contact with his camp for the past few weeks to agree a deal.

Inter will face competition from the Red Devils and the Bavarian club. After parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Premier League side want to strengthen their attack in January. Thuram is identified as a target as Erik ten Hag ‘likes’ him ‘very much’.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have offered a four-year deal worth €5m per year plus bonuses to the France international. This proposal is lower than the ones made by Manchester United and Bayern.

Thuram’s desire is to play in the Premier League, which gives Ten Hag’s side an advantage over both Inter and Bayern. As it stands, Manchester United are ‘favourites’ and hope to bring the player to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

It’s said the English club are ‘trying to convince’ Gladbach to sell the attacker in January. The German club, who are willing to part ways with him, don’t intend to offer discounts and are demanding to be paid €15m.

The report doesn’t make it clear whether United intend to meet Gladbach’s request to sign Thuram.
