Just yesterday, we covered the Spanish press claiming Deportivo de La Coruña are interested in keeping Juergen Elitim at the club in case of promotion to the first division.
The Watford loanee, who’s been out on spells for years, seems to have found himself a home at his new side, and they could soon work on signing him on a permanent move.
Elitim scored his first goal for Deportivo at the weekend, and with his good form, even his father has been speaking to the local media about it.
La Voz de Galícia today features a story which contains words from his dad Milton, who besides being happy with the midfielder’s recent displays, claims he should stay in Spain following the end of the spell.
He claims that “since his arrival there has been fluid communication” with Watford, and that would help in new negotiations: “I trust that on their part there would be no problem.
“If the circumstances are right, he’d like to continue,” said Milton. “Everything is aimed at him staying a while longer”.
Despite Deportivo’s wish to make Elitim’s move permanent, there’s still no talk in the Spanish media of how much the club would pay for his permanent move.
Transfermarkt currently values him at €700k.
