According to Fotospor, Fenerbahce have joined the race for Everton striker Cenk Tosun after the Super Lig club’s vice president Semih Ozsoy held talks with the Turkey international’s father and agent Senol Tosun.
During the meeting, Senol Tosun reportedly informed Ozsoy that his son would like to stay in the Premier League, although he hasn’t closed the door on Fenerbahce.
It’s claimed Fener have given reassurances to Tosun’s camp about the wages they are able to cover, and are also looking to agree a deal with Everton.
The 28 year old could leave Everton this month due to a lack of game time, with reports his former club Besiktas and Crystal Palace are also interested in signing him.
Earlier today we covered reports from Turkey that the Black Eagles are making progress in their pursuit of the player.
Tosun has only featured eight times for the Merseyside club this season, scoring one goal in the league. The attacker wasn’t involved in Everton’s last game against Liverpool in the FA Cup.
