The father and agent of former West Ham United forward Simone Zaza has told the Italian media he hopes Valencia gives his son a chance. Zaza is completing his move to the Spanish club after being passed up by West Ham.
Speaking to TMW, Antonio Zaza was asked about how he felt about Simone joining Valencia. The player’s father said they are delighted to sign for a club like Valencia following the forward’s disappointments at West Ham. Antonio is now hoping the Italy international will now be given a chance to show what he can do, unlike during his time at West Ham.
“Simone and I, we are naturally delighted with this choice. It was not random, but well thought out. I hope that Valencia will allow my son to showcase all his qualities, which at West Ham was not possible,” says the Zaza’s farter and agent.
Zaza joined West Ham in the summer transfer window, but failed to make an impact with the Premier League side. West Ham had an option to make the deal permanent if the attacker played 14 games for Slaven Bilic’s side but only made 11 appearances.
Zaza didn’t score any goals for West Ham despite the number of games he played in, which questions his father’s comments made to the Italian press.
