Dean Huijsen has been one of the standout players for AFC Bournemouth this season.
The 19-year-old joined the Premier League club from Juventus last summer and made 25 appearances for them. He has grown in stature over the course of this season and his rise at Bournemouth hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Bayern Munich are one of those to have looked at the defender for the summer window.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland, and they mention the centre-back when focusing on Bayern’s plan to improve their defence for next season.
It’s claimed the Bundesliga club are interested in acquiring the Spain U21 international’s signature in the summer window. His contract lasts until 2030, and reportedly includes a release clause of €60m.
Sky state the Bournemouth star’s price tag is ‘far too expensive’ for the Bavarian club. This would be the reason they’re giving up on Huijsen despite showing interest in him.
Mundo Deportivo earlier reported the youngster’s clause is around €50m which will come into effect from the summer of 2025.
Huijsen has also been linked to other clubs and on January 23rd, the defender stated he hadn’t heard from any interested party.
