Sead Kolasinac has signed for Arsenal so many times that his pen must have run out by now. With Arsenal increasingly the likeliest destination for the player, with Manchester City remaining in there, there’s been a race to jump the gun for months.
Kolasinac’s Schalke contract ending has been the one certainty, and the club’s struggles this season, and perhaps more so the lack of stability, added to Schalke’s usual stress, have made a renewal less likely.
After the latest claims of Kolasinac signing with Arsenal, the player himself turned out for Schalke for what could be the last time. Germany’s Kicker believe it’s pretty certain he’s moving, and they explain that Schalke fans said goodbye to a player who has become a firm favourite.
Schalke have still got a fixture against Ingolstadt, but Kolasinac is banned after picking up a yellow card against Hamburg, so Kicker say he’s likely played his last game.
Arsenal is the safest bet right now, but Kicker point out once again that nothing is confirmed. Arsene Wenger signing Kolasinac would look a shrewd move for Arsenal, with the Bosnian bringing some character as well as ability.
