It seems that Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen will not have an easy task to replace Alisson at AS Roma.
It seemed like a good opportunity for him when the Brazilian made the €62.5m move to Liverpool this summer, but one game was enough to create some controversy.
Newspaper Tuttosport brings a story saying that Roma fans already mourn Alisson’s move to Anfield Road.
Now we better add some context here. It’s not like Roma lost their game against Torino 5-0, with several mistakes from Olsen. The Giallorossi actually won it 1-0, with a clean sheet from the goalkeeper.
Still, Tuttosport writes that Olsen ‘ran the risk’ of conceding a goal in the first play of the league. Later, it was ‘good for him’ that Falque’s goal was disallowed. Then he made three saves that ‘were not impossible’.
After writing all that about him, Tuttosport claims that ‘Olsen is not Alisson and will hardly become one. But it does not mean that he cannot be a good goalkeeper.’ They also write that he ‘was just unlucky to have a chance just when Alisson left to Liverpool’.
That is, after having a go at Olsen in most of the article, they try to be nice to Olsen saying he’s not that bad. Not the best stuff from Tuttosport here.
