Now that Napoli managed to complete the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur, the signing is being analysed carefully by the local media.
It’s well known that the player wasn’t wanted by Spurs, as Antonio Conte’s side had already sent him on a loan to Lyon in January, and once he returned to London his summer, he was negotiated with the Italian club.
So today, as journalist Paolo Condo spoke to Radio 24’s Tutti Convocati, he had a few words about the midfielder.
According to him, Ndombele will end up getting a better treatment at Napoli than he was having at Tottenham.
“He failed at Tottenham. Serie A needs to go and rediscover players who we know are strong, but who have failed in their teams,” said Condo (via Napoli Magazine).
Between arriving from Lyon on a €60m deal in the summer of 2019 and moving out of Tottenham in January this year, Ndombele was used 63 times, picking up six goals and five assists for the London side.
The midfielder gas now left Spurs for Napoli on a loan deal, and even though the figures for a permanent transfer aren’t confirmed, it’s been said by the Italian media that the Serie A club have to pay around €30m to get him permanently.
