Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is eyeing up two youngsters in Italy’s Serie B as he continues to build at the club.
That’s according to Serie B News, who cover Tottenham’s interest in Radu Dragusin and Morten Frendrup.
They explain that with the European leagues now at a standstill due to the World Cup, clubs are getting to work on what they will do in the January transfer window and the summer beyond it.
Most are looking for ‘young but highly prospective’ players and Tottenham are no different, with Paratici turning back to Italy for this.
He is ‘targeting two Serie B talents’, namely Dragusin and Frendrup, who are both currently playing for Genoa.
Frendrup joined from Brondby in the January transfer window while Dragusin is on loan from Juventus. Paratici knows of him from his time in charge at the Italian club and now wants a reunion.
Genoa have a conditional buy back clause included in the loan deal worth around €5.5m plus €2m in bonuses, but Paratici’s ‘intention’ is to bring him and Frendrup to London.
He sees the break for the World Cup as a potential ‘right occasion’ to start talking about potential deals as he plans ahead for Tottenham.
