Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has again spoken to the Norwegian media with regards to the weight he’s had to put on since arriving at the Scottish Premiership champions.
The 20 year old has been a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven this season and the work he’s been putting in with the Celtic training staff is now clearly paying off.
This time speaking to Aftenposten the Celtic player was asked about the change in his body since joining the Glasgow club: “There has been an extremely steep development at Celtic. Now I’m on the physical level I’m going to be on. I have a weight that is ideal.”
It’s reported by Aftenposten Ajer has put on 10.5 kilos since joining Celtic from Norwegian club Start two years ago.
The change in his physicality has helped him to hold down a place in Rodgers’ side after being loaned out to Kilmarnock during the 2016/17 season.
Ajer’s performances for Celtic last season and in this campaign have led to international recognition and he impressed during Norway’s 2-0 victory over Cyprus on Thursday night.
