One of the side effects of Tottenham getting to the Champions League final is that the club and players are now even more interesting to the world football media.

There are good results from that, such as the brilliantly emotional interview with Lucas Moura’s dad in Brazil, and not so good ones… like Spanish newspaper AS talking up a Real Madrid move for Christian Eriksen.

They have an article today claiming Eriksen’s move to Madrid ‘is on track’, and the Danish international has a ‘verbal agreement’ for his personal terms.

Real Madrid have already opened talks with Tottenham, according to the claims, and it’s stated they were waiting for Spurs to finish their Champions League campaign before going to the final stage of negotiations.

Madrid estimate the player’s value at €60-70m, given his contract ends in June 2020, but the big worry is Tottenham winning the Champions League.

If they do, not only is their negotiating position stronger, but Eriksen himself could also demand more money, especially if he plays a big role.
