Jack Grealish will not leave Aston Villa in January, Sport Witness has been informed.

Tottenham Hotspur were chasing his signature in the summer, but the north London club failed to find an agreement with the Championship side for the 23-year-old.

Earlier in September, the attacking midfielder signed a new five-year deal, which will keep him at Villa Park until 2023.

A few days later, the Birmingham-born player told the Telegraph that he was left disappointed after he failed to join Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the summer window.

Despite signing an extension, Grealish has continued to be linked with a move to the Premier League outfit in the mid-season transfer window, as the Express reported that Spurs will continue their pursuit of the player at the start of 2019.

However, Sport Witness has learnt that Grealish will continue with his employer until the end of the season.

He scored three goals and registered six assists in 30 league appearances last season, and will be hoping to improve on his statistics so far this season.
