Whenever there are rumours about somebody being interested in Juventus’ Mario Lemina, we’ve always been a bit skeptical, only because the club seem to really like the young midfielder.

Stepping in for the injured Claudio Marchisio and playing in all but two of the Serie A champions’ games this season, the Gabon international is yet to be on the losing side and has even racked up an assist.

Last week, an article in Tuttosport led to Calciomercato speculating Arsenal could come in in January for Lemina, with a €20m price tag being slapped on the player’s back.

Considering the 23-year-old was bought for £8m, this would represent a quick profit for Juventus, but this isn’t something the club are looking for, at least according to the player’s agent.

Speaking to Sport Witness, Yvan Le Mée explained: “Mario is continuing with Juventus, and his good performances make him an indisputable starter at the moment.”

On top of Arsenal having ‘scouted the player on many occasions’, the player has been linked with various moves across Europe, including to Premier League champions Leicester City.

For the time being, however, it seems he’s not going anywhere.
