Manchester United are still to make an approach for the signing of the São Paulo youngster Lyanco, according to his representative.
Earlier this week, The Mirror claimed that José Mourinho’s side would be tracking the São Paulo defender.
The English newspaper said the player could be allowed to leave for £10m, as Juventus and Atletico Madrid would also be keen on him.
But speaking to Sport Witness, Lyanco’s agent Frederico Moraes said they still haven’t had any contact from United: “Yeah, I’ve read it. But there’s nothing from England so far. Nothing official has arrived”.
“Always”, says the agent when asked if the player would fancy playing in the Premier League.
According to the latest reports from Brazil, the player is close to a move to Juventus. São Paulo officials have been in Italy recently, and would let him go for only €6m. The club are keen on making money and will have no problem in selling some young talents.
Owner of an EU passport, the 20-year-old has even played for the Serbian U-19 team in the past, but changed his mind after being called up for Brazil’s U-20.
