Portuguese midfielder Daniel Candeias should be signing for the Rangers tomorrow, his agent has revealed.
Talks have been progressing for a few weeks on getting the player to Ibrox, with Candeias being a personal request from Pedro Caixinha, who has previously worked with him at Portuguese side Nacional.
Contacted by Sport Witness on Friday night, Daniel Candeias’ agent Antonio Teixeira confirmed the Rangers medical: “He’s doing his medicals. If everything goes right, he will sign tomorrow.”
Despite moving to Rangers from Benfica, Candeias never had the chance to play for the Portuguese giants. The midfielder spent last season on loan at Alanyaspor, and despite the Turkish side’s desire to keep him, Ranger’s efforts have prevailed.
Candeias is joining the Scottish Premiership club with a contract of two years and an option to extend for a further one. The agent couldn’t reveal the official figures of the transfer, although the Portuguese press claims the player should cost Rangers €800k.
