Every window, Ayoze Perez is pushed towards a transfer.
Much of it is through the work of the player himself. Not simply what he does on the pitch for his club, but the many interviews he’s now done talking up a possible move away from Newcastle United.
A return to Spain has been the desired option, and there’s also been claims of interest from Serie A.
This summer has been no different, with a handful of sides linked, yet nothing serious really happening.
Last week there were Spanish claims Rafael Benitez’s exit is another motivation for a move. Yet for that to happen there’s needs to be a destination.
El Dorsal report that ‘except for a surprise’, Perez will be off this summer.
They’re reporting on it due to hope local club Tenerife can receive a windfall. It’s explained that if Perez moves for €20m, the €700k solidarity payment will fund the club’s signings this summer.
Valencia and Real Betis are named as possible destinations, although there’s not a great deal backing that in Spain right now.
Perez often seems to be the third or fourth choice of clubs, with a potential price-tag which doesn’t match that status.
