In the past few days, we’ve been seeing reports from Brazil explaining how difficult it will be for Internacional to secure the signing of Manchester City striker Nahuel Bustos.
The Colorado are keen on landing the 24-year-old on a loan deal, and their problem is the Premier League side would rather let him go permanently.
It’s been recently reported that Manchester City will continue waiting for offers for the striker until the end of the transfer window, and if nothing shows up, then Inter will stand a chance of making the signing on a loan basis. So they ‘asked for time’ for now.
It turns out, however, that the rumour has gained strength after being fuelled by the player’s agent. Without naming the representative, Revista Colorada quote him claiming the Brazilian club would be an interesting destination.
“There are excellent chances to see him in Brazil. One of the destinations he really likes.”
Manchester City spent €6.5m to sign Bustos from Talleres in 2020, and let him spend those last two years on loan at Girona. Without giving him a chance to prove himself under Pep Guardiola, they look to recover at least part of that investment.
