Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen have contracts at Tottenham Hotspur which will expire after this season and there’s the possibility of Spurs losing the trio for nothing next summer.

The Belgian duo and the Denmark international graduated from Ajax’s academy and spent time with the Eredivisie side’s first team before moving elsewhere.

Vertonghen and Eriksen were acquired by Tottenham from the Dutch side, while Alderweireld moved to the north London club from Atletico Madrid.

Ajax’s Daley Blind opened up about his desire to see any of the Tottenham stars back at their former club and even went on to explain he has already chatted with one about it.

“You naturally think of Suarez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen or Eriksen. I think the Tottenham boys are almost approaching the end of their contract,” the former Manchester United man was quoted as saying by Ajax Showtime.

“One of those three would certainly be an asset. I have spoken to Jan Vertonghen in the past year about what he thinks about it. It is up to him how he deals with it.”

After spending four years at United, Blind returned to Ajax in 2018 and was one of the key members in their title winning campaign last season.

It remains to be seen if Vertonghen, Alderweireld or Eriksen will follow Blind back to their former club after this term.
