Everything points to Leroy Sané joining Bayern Munich from Manchester City this summer, although the two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany, who provide an update on the forward’s future amid continued speculation about his future.
Sané was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich last summer and was seemingly on the verge of making the switch before an ACL injury in Manchester City’s win over Liverpool in Community Shield scuppered it.
He’s been recovering from that injury since then, but the links to Bavaria have not decreased, with it widely felt the German champions would be coming again either in January or this summer.
A move in the winter window never happened so eyes have now turned to this summer and whether Bayern will convert their interest into something concrete.
There has been speculation for several months, and even rumours that Sané has an agreement in place with the German club but they disagree with Manchester City over his asking price.
Sky confirm those reports today but say, from they have received, a deal is looking extremely likely.
“He was always going to be one of the very likely to change this summer, and that is still the case,” transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck said.
“Sané has everything agreed with Bavaria, and they are now negotiating the transfer fee. The whole deal is now a poker game.
“We can announce today we have done some more research in the last few days and heard so many new things from the scene.
“For the first time, we can push our thumbs a little bit higher, almost to perfect.
“That’s not to say there’s an agreement, no, it’s still about the transfer fee, but everything points to Leroy coming in.
“Oliver Kahn has just taken out a little bit. Nevertheless, everything speaks for the fact that the transfer will happen, it’s only about the transfer fee. “
