Cengiz Under will very shortly be a Leicester City player.
Brendan Rodgers today confirmed talks with AS Roma for the attacker, and the Italian media have been reporting the move as imminent for more than 24 hours.
On Thursday, the Turkish media also backed up the transfer, with there being some excitement in the country over the move.
Under is thought to be initially moving on loan, with Leicester then paying around €25m for a permanent deal. The 23 year old will see his wages increase from €2.4m a year to €4m, with both figures likely to be after tax.
Medical staff from the Premier League club travelled to Italy on Thursday evening, so they could conduct a medial. That happened this morning at AS Roma’s Villa Stuart headquarters, and it seems it all went well.
When a Turkish journalist approached Under as he left the building, and asked how things went, Corriere dello Sport say the player replied: “Everything ok.”
