With Bayern Munich seemingly pushing to sign João Palhinha from Fulham to bolster their midfield, an exit door is opening for Ryan Gravenberch and Liverpool.

This is what Sport Bild are hinting at on Thursday, and they insist that ‘things are getting hot’ between the Dutchman and the Reds, as the Anfield side seemingly rush to get a deal over the line.

It’s well known, as they put it, that Jürgen Klopp has ‘long been a fan’ of the Bayern Munich, and the need for midfielders at Liverpool has forced him to look at potentially signing him.

The German outlet explain that a transfer fee of around €35m is ‘realistic’, which they believe would be money the Bundesliga giants can ‘put to good use’.

That would see them use it to convince Fulham to sell Palhinha, as the Premier League club are asking for at least €80m while Bayern are only ready to offer €60m + some bonuses.

This need for money to get a transfer over the line could explain why ‘everything is moving so quickly’ between Liverpool and the Bavarian side for Gravenberch, as the Reds look set to land yet another midfield signing this summer after securing the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.
