Having sacked Russell Martin last weekend, Southampton are in the process of appointing Ivan Juric as their new manager.

On Friday, we covered claims from Italy which stated the 49-year-old has agreed a deal with the Saints. It was also said he’ll receive a contract until the end of this season with an option for another year.

TuttoMercatoWeb state ‘everything is now done’ for Juric to join Southampton, after the parties defined the details of the agreement.

The Croatia left AS Roma last month, less than two months after joining them, and has reached an agreement with the Serie A side to terminate his deal. They will pay him and his backroom staff’s salary until January.

TMW state Matteo Paro [assistant manager], Paolo Barbero and Stjepan Ostojic will be part of Juric’s backroom staff at Southampton.

The Premier League side have five points from 16 games and are currently bottom. The report states Juric is ‘not frightened by the amount of work waiting for him’ at St Mary’s, which is to help Southampton avoid relegation.

Corriere Giallorosso state Roma will only pay the Croatian’s salary until January and can save on his five months’ wages, which is around €900,000 net.
