Around December 8th there were several claims in the Portuguese media that Wolves were more and more inclined to use the €38m option they have to make Raul Jimenez’s loan move permanent.
Since then, comments from the player, in which he explained it’s not something he’s overly concerning himself with right now, have suggested there could be an issue, but that’s not thought to be the case in Portugal.
This week, Record report ‘everything indicates’ Wolves will buy the Mexican at the end of the season.
There’s absolutely no rush, because they have that €38m option secured and given anything can happen between now and the end of the season, especially relating to player injury and form, there’s no reason to push it through.
Crucially, Record say that Raul Jimenez himself is also keen on the deal happening. It’s the striker’s ‘will’ and his continuity is ‘more and more a reality’.These stories will continue popping up, and come the summer, before the clause deadline passes, it’ll be no surprise to see Wolves try for a lower price.
